IUPUI Poetry Contest
The IUPUI Office of Academic Affairs and the IU School of Liberal Arts invite high school students to participate in the IUPUI Poetry Contest. Annual entry deadline is May 1 at 5:00 P.M. EST
First through fourth place winners will receive a monetary award, publication of their poem on our website, and are eligible to receive a $1500 RISE scholarship upon enrollment at IUPUI. All poetry contest applicants may receive additional scholarships upon being admitted to IUPUI based upon their academic and financial aid qualifications.
Monetary Prizes
- 1st Place - $300
- 2nd Place - $200
- 3rd Place - $100
- 20 Honorable Mentions - a book and publication of your poem on our website
Submit your poem for a chance to win.
By submitting your poem to the IUPUI Poetry Contest, you grant us permission to post your poem online as well as in other publicity materials for the university. Students retain full publication rights to their poems.
